YOORA STUDIO uses natural, organic and certified materials such as:

ORGANIC SILK

The finest silks treated in an environmentally friendly manner, without the use of environmentally harmful chemicals. Also, fabric production is strictly controlled and subject to fair and ethical standards for workers. Organic silk has hypoallergenic, skin-friendly properties. The material is pleasant to touch, warm in cold environments and cool in warm environments.

PEACE SILK

Peace silk is the result of a special production process, based on the principle of ethical processing of silk cocoons. The Silkworm (Bombyx mori) can complete its metamorphosis and leaves the cocoon as a white-yellow butterfly.  After this process, the empty cocoons are picked up and transported for further processing, where each of them separately unwinds 800-1000m of silk fiber.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is different from the classic, commonly sold cotton fabric in the way of cultivation and processing of the plant. In the cultivation and production of 100% certified organic cotton, no toxic substances, such as chemical pesticides

or fertilisers are used, also, the processed fabric is not stained with harmful dyes and therefore man-made and environmentally friendly production. The yarns from which all the lace in this collection are made, as well as the thread used for stitching each individual part are produced only with certified organic cotton.

BAMBOO - VISCOSE

Material made from bamboo fibers under strict ecological criteria (OEKO TEX-100) is free of components that could have a negative effect on the human organism and thus cause harmful allergic reactions. It is lightweight, permeable and allows the skin to breathe, unlike conventional polyester or acetate lining.

PINATEX

Piñatex® is made of fibre from the leaves of the pineapple plant. These leaves are discarded from the pineapple harvest, so the raw material requires no additional environmental resources to produce.

Shoes used for our Serendipity editorial are made of this amazing material.

LYOCELL

TENCEL™ branded lyocell and modal fibers are produced by environmentally responsible processes from the sustainably sourced natural raw material wood.

Lyocell is light, breatable, hypoallergenic, biodegradable material suitable for daily wear.

ECO-VERO

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are produced using pulp, which is derived from the renewable resource wood as raw material.  Lenzing purchases wood and pulp derived from responsibly managed forests and certified to come from sustainable sources.

LINEN

Linen is a sustainable fabric made from flax fibers. The resulting linen textile is two to three times stronger than cotton and dries at a much faster rate.Flax, the plant from which linen is made, is also extremely versatile. Every part of the flax plant has traditionally been used to create a worthwhile product—nothing is wasted, and production is cost effective.
